Based in Sydney, Gerry Gimenez is a Director at North Ridge Partners and leads the firm’s Business Software & AI advisory practice. He advises software and AI companies, founders, boards and investors on M&A, capital raising and financial strategy.

Gerry has more than a decade of experience across M&A advisory, strategy consulting, corporate development and strategic finance, having worked on over US$5 billion of transactions across Australia, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe.

Before joining North Ridge Partners, Gerry spent four years at Amazon in corporate strategy and strategic finance, including P&L oversight and global corporate development. Earlier in his career, he advised corporate and private equity clients on M&A strategy and commercial due diligence at PwC’s Strategy& and executed cross-border M&A and private equity transactions as an M&A lawyer at Lefosse, formerly the Brazilian associate firm of Linklaters.

Gerry works closely with founders, management teams and financial sponsors. His advisory and operating experience shapes a process style that is rigorous on positioning, disciplined on execution and focused on the business drivers that build buyer and investor conviction. Within software, he focuses on quality of growth, retention and expansion, sales efficiency and scalable unit economics. In AI, he focuses on durability of advantage and monetisation, including proprietary data, workflow ownership, distribution and measurable customer ROI.

Gerry holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of São Paulo. Outside work, he is a keen reader and vinyl collector, with a particular interest in electronic music.
